focus t25 nutrition guideAre you following the Focus T25 Nutrition Guide the way that you should? Surprisingly enough, I’ve seen far too many people mistakenly follow the T25 Nutrition Guide along with others such as the P90X Nutrition Guide incorrectly. But it is not really YOUR fault, if you have the tools and tips I’m going to share today with you!

I’ll start off by sharing my Focus T25 Nutrition Guide video that I have posted over at YouTube. I’ll then share with you some free resources so that you can rock and roll and get the best possible results with Focus T25!

Resources to Follow the Focus T25 Nutrition Guide the RIGHT Way

First and foremost, let me talk about the intervals that you must follow if you want the best results.

  • Breakfast: 400 calories – starts your morning off right!
  • AM Snack: 200 calories –  2.5-3 hours later
  • Lunch: 400 calories – 2.5-3 hours later
  • PM Snack: 200 calories – 2.5-3 hours later (great time to supplement your Shakeology)
  • Dinner: 400 calories – 2.5-3 hours later

This leaves you with about 1500 calories for the day. I know that doesn’t match the T25 plan of 1200 or 1600 calories, but the reason is because it allows a small buffer for meals that are larger or smaller in calories.

So why even do this 2.5-3 hour thing, you might ask? Great question!! See, our metabolism immediately goes into starvation mode if we let ourselves get “hungry”. This means, it starts holding onto fat, both temporarily and for the next few meals you eat (to prepare in case you don’t feed it again!). By keeping yourself fed at smaller intervals every 2.5-3 hours, you keep your metabolism well fed, and it increases your body’s ability to burn fat faster.

 

The very first thing you want to do is check out this image. It provides the guide you need to determine if you need to stick with the 1200 calorie plan or the 1600 calorie plan. For me personally, I’m on the 1600:
