Gluten Free Diets

A very important piece of the fitness and diet community is GLUTEN. If you are looking for Gluten Free Diets and options around a gluten free life, I have something exciting to share with you!

Gluten Free Diets – What is Gluten?

A gluten-free diet is one that excludes the protein known as GLUTEN. When understanding Gluten Free Diets, one must understand where Gluten is found. Foods such as wheat, barley, and rye can include gluten. Those with a gluten allergy, or diabetic (or both), struggle with eating many of life’s pleasures, including bread. Beyond those with the gluten allergy, many fitness and athletic professionals are searching for information on gluten free diets. Why? Some argue that gluten free diets can cause better athletic performance and those ripped, six-pack abs that you always wanted.

When it comes to Gluten Free Diets, most people are concerned about what they need to AVOID. If you are looking for this information, look no further. Below are the ingredients and foods you should absolutely avoid at all costs:

  • Barley
  • Rye
  • Wheat

Below are the foods and ingredients that you should avoid unless it is specifically marked as “Gluten-Free”

  • Beer
  • Breads
  • Cakes and Pies
  • Pastas
  • Seasoned rice mixes
  • Soups and soup bases
  • Vegetables in sauce

I’m going to stop there for now and just say – WHOA! People that don’t have the choice of the gluten free diets really deal with way too much. Not having breads, cakes, and pies are horrible, especially around the holidays. So, I decided to go on a bit of a research hunt to figure out what gluten free diets are available that still allow you to indulge in life’s great moments!

Gluten Free Diets – The Answer You’ve Been Looking For…

Those that want to feel great avoid gluten. But by avoiding gluten, you are avoiding the great foods listed above (and many more)! So, how can you STILL enjoy the amazing foods and tasty treats out there, without killing yourself with gluten? I have found two great solutions!

First, any gluten free diet needs to focus on a low-glycemic index. This helps reduce the blood sugar level while steering clear of gluten. A great option is SHAKEOLOGY. This is a drink I’ve sworn by for a little over one year now. It is low on the glycemic index, and it is gluten-free and caffeine free. Better yet, it has over 70 healthiest ingredients and claims itself to be the healthiest meal of the day.

Second, is the ability to eat those tasty treats through an e-book focused on gluten-free and low-glycemic index foods. We are talking amazing treats such as this one:

That’s right folks, Truffles! Not only that, great cakes and pies and other foods that are gluten free and low sugar. This e-book is relatively inexpensive, and authored by the well-known Debbie Johnson (author of “Think Yourself Thin”). You can find out more about this second find over at her site (link below):
