insanity-asylum-fit-test-day-15Today is Day 15, which means it’s time for another Fit Test. With INSANITY the Asylum, the Fit Test is better known as the Athletic Performance Assessment (throughout this post I’ll refer to it as simply “Fit Test”). I must admit that I’m seeing some good results (before/after pics below), but have a lot of work to do yet. I’m only halfway through the program, so there is more excitement to come! But first and foremost, I must admit that I AM NOT HAPPY! There were a few crucial steps that I didn’t take with the first fifteen days of Asylum. The result? Not the progress I was aiming for in my Fit Test & progress photos. Read on, because I’ll explain these crucial steps that I failed on, so that you can make sure that you do not!

INSANITY Asylum Fit Test – Where I failed

Day 1 to Day 15 Asylum progress photo. Be sure to subscribe to my blog for my final results coming up in the next 15 days!

I have no problem admitting that I failed, because I know it will make me better. Afraid of failure? I suggest that you embrace it as your tool for success. If you have been following my blog, you will remember that I originally started the Asylum in December. The goal: “All I want for Christmas is some Six Pack Abs”. Did it go to plan? No. Why? Because I came down with an annoying sickness/flu. Started with a cold, progressed to stuffyness and headache, and finished with a painful cough. That lasted 6 weeks total. Crazy right? It was frustrating, annoying, and downright pissed me off. So what did I do? I said two words:

Oh Well.

Who cares? Keep moving forward! As soon as I was relieved from the cold and cough, I jumped right back into the Asylum. That brings us to today. In that case, part of this led to a bit of a set-back, and led me into some bad eating. I must continuously say that ABS ARE MADE IN THE KITCHEN!

I have started a fairly consistent diet which is leading me to great success. I honestly think that most of the results you see in my progress photo to the right are attributed to the last two weeks of my consistent dieting. The diet consists of things like: Rolled Oats (oatmeal – no sugar/etc), Egg Whites, Almonds, Cashews, Plenty of Chicken, Salmon when possible, 1 Cup of Coffee in the morning with no sugar and 1/8 cup of skim milk. I also try to eat consistently 5-6 times per day. This includes finishing my night with Shakeology nutrition shake.

As far as supplements, this is all I take: Creatine (10g per day), E&E Pre-Workout Formula, and P90X Results & Recovery Formula (post workout). That’s it.

Water? This is important. NO Soda or garbage beverages. Water is king. 80-120 ounces per day is my goal.
