P90X Week 4 Update

p90x week 4 updateHey Friend, I’m just now finishing the P90X Week 4 recovery week, and looking forward to sharing it with you. If you are doing P90X and following my journey, I’m sure by now that we can agree that Yoga is Hard, Plyometrics is Crazy, and Ab Ripper X is beastly. This week was specifically recovery after the first phase of P90X. If this is your first time to my site, Welcome! I’m currently doing the P90X Classic Schedule (be sure to subscribe to my blog to check out my updates as they happen!).

P90X Week 4 Update – My Struggles with Recovery Week

So far I’m having a great journey with P90X. This is my third round with P90X, as I failed the first two rounds as a result of poor nutrition and skipping too many workouts! This week I made a pledge to:

  • Never, ever skip a workout
  • BRING IT every day with as much intensity as possible
  • Get at least 7.5-8 hours of sleep each night
  • Follow the right nutrition plan
  • Use the Supplements religiously (Shakeology and P90X Results and Recovery Formula).

I believe one of my biggest struggles is my balance. When we talk about Yoga X, it really comes down to the balance. What is cool is that P90X can help target your balance problems. I don’t know about you, but my right hand side is completely off balance. Anytime I try to do something where I stand on my right leg alone, I’m tumbling and stumbling like a fool. It is quite honestly embarrassing, especially when I try to do things like Tree and Warrior 1,2, 3 in Yoga.

Let alone embarrassing, it is FRUSTRATING. Have you had that experience?

I just try and try to do these balance moves in Yoga, Core Synergistics, and even Plyo, and fall all over the place. Then, the negativity starts flooding in. Things like:

“I’ll never get this right”

“I suck at P90X”

“I can’t do this”

“Why am I not as good as the people in the video??”

If you have had these same thoughts, comment below this post and let me know. I think there are times we all go through these times. The KEY to success with P90X (that I failed at originally in 2010), is: “DO NOT QUIT”!!!!

The moment you quit and give into the negativity and those words in your brain, you fail. Falling, tumbling, and stumbling doesn’t make you a failure. Quitting and giving up makes you a failure. I must always consistently remind myself about this every day. I know that in time I will get better. IT is only Week 4. Week 13 will be a different ball park all together.

P90X Week 4 Update – My Game Plan for Phase 2

Tomorrow I’m entering into Phase 2. I plan on making sure that I continue the great nutrition and dieting. If you want to follow my eating plans, join me over at myfitnesspal.com. My screen name is “coolrunlt”. Add me as a friend and YOU can see what I’m eating every day to get ripped abs and build my muscles.

I’m planning on also sticking with Shakeology and the Results & Recovery Formula each and every day. Also, as much as I used to hate it, I plan on never, ever, skipping Yoga X. It is a very long workout, but if I’m going to show the success I want, I have to go ALL IN. I plan on doing all 90 minutes of Yoga each week, and try as hard as I can to perfect it, even though right now I suck at it!

Let me know how your journey is going!! Let me know if you have any questions or need motivation and we can chat. Most importantly, get your FREE Account today and I can help Coach you through these crazy workout programs.
