P90X2 Plyocide Review Day 2

Get pumped, get ready, today was PLYOCIDE! Today I’ll give you my P90X2 Plyocide Review as it relates to my 2nd Day with the P90X2 program.

p90x2 plyocide review day 2

For those of you who have done P90X, remember Plyometrics? Well, Plyocide is much more unique and has challenged me in ways I didn’t think possible. I once again got to meet my balance struggles.

But be it known! I will tackle this instability challenge! I really look forward to week 2, 3, and 4 of this foundation phase and reporting back my improvements with my overall balance.

P90X2 Plyocide has that taste of cardiovascular plyometric moves as we saw in P90X, but it takes it a whole new route by adding the balance moves, core routines, and shoulder moves into each exercise. Tony called “Jump Knee Tucks” in P90X the “Mother of all the Moves”. But now we meet “The Mother-in-Law” Jack-in-the-box knee tucks!!! You are basically going down to the floor, jumping up, tucking your knees, and returning back to the floor (in a squatted position). OW!

I also really liked the Super Skaters with the Kick move (I loved Super Skaters in Legs & Back, so I was glad to revisit this move with an added twist to it!). I especially loved all the moves with the medicine ball. Taking a basic move and adding a medicine ball really helps push the edge of the entire move!

P90X2 Plyocide Review – Day 2 Struggle of Balance & Instability

As I take time to reflect on my much-repeated, oh-so-challenging balance & instability, I want to take you all further back to my first day with P90X Plyometrics. I’ll never forget that day. I turned off the TV that day thinking “I’ll never be able to do this!!” After all:

  • The squats were too much for my weak legs and
  • I got winded too easily and couldn’t catch my breath.

But then just a month ago (approximately 180 days since that very first day) I was able to powerhouse through P90X Plyo with relative ease and strength! If you keep pushing play, things WILL happen! I keep this in mind with my P90X2 moves. I know by the end I’ll have improved balance and improved health/fitness. And Guess what? YOU CAN TOO! I believe in you as your Coach and crazy guy of SharpeFIT.com.  Keep pushing play. It may not seem like a lot of benefit right at this very moment, but stick with it, and you’ll get there; I promise.
