I struggled along with something called GERD for about 4 years. If you don’t know what GERD is, it stands for Gastroesophaegeal Reflux Disease (aka Acid Reflux). Throughout each day I consistently felt like I was going to throw-up. Anytime I tried to eat it would be hard due to the reflux. I first discovered P90X in June of 2010 and started working-out. I did OK with the program, but still failed on trying to find the proper nutrition to balance my exercise. Michelle B. – I have Fibro. I was 4 months postpartum with our 3rd child and was having flare-ups so often I was convinced I would be stuck never being able to do anything. Shakeology Reviews: Not-So-Positive Reviews

I’m not out here making it seem like this is a power end-all-be-all drink! I will say that I feel that this is far-superior to anything on the market however. Before you get looped into a cheaper alternative or substitution to Shakeology, I’d recommend looking at the Nutrition Label and Ingredients first.

What I’ve heard most is that Shakeology contains so many great, healthy ingredients that some people may have an initial reaction since it does naturally detoxify your body (aka minor stomach cramps/etc). These symptoms go away usually within the first couple of days once your body has been flushed (that is a good thing!).

Jennifer P. – I tried Shakeology, but realized I was alergic to Whey Protein. Since some of ingredients in Shakeology are from animal by-product, I was unable to enjoy it.

Now, since then, Beachbody has launched Tropical Shakeology, which is 100% Vegan! The protein comes from a source of Brown Rice and not animal byproduct. Jennifer now enjoys her Tropical Shakeology each day!

Eric T. – I regularly take medications that restrict my intake of Vitamin K. I also take a multi-vitamin which means I have to closely monitor my nutrition intake. Shakeology has too many vitamins and minerals to support my health problem.

This can sometimes happen unfortunately, but if there is ever an opportunity to get rid of your multi-vitamins, you should! Save yourself some money on food, vitamins, and perhaps other medications (that will also make the price more worth it!).
