INSANITY the Asylum Game Day Review

THE GAME IS ON! On your Mark – Get SET – GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I’m telling you right now, INSANITY the Asylum Game Day Review is not for everyone, but DANG is it motivating. I’ve done many programs before, including the popular P90X and INSANITY. But never, EVER have I been so motivated! Shaun T (Asylum Trainer, and the dude pictured above) does this one right! From the moment  you pop in the Game Day DVD, you feel like you’re entering a big game. And don’t worry, you’ll be at a lot of different sporting events. World Series? Check. Super Bowl? Check. Olympics? Check. Random things like Surfing? You got it. CHECK.   INSANITY the Asylum Game Day Review –...

INSANITY the Asylum Relief Review

Today during the INSANITY the Asylum Relief Review, I’m going to talk about stretching. Don’t forget to check out my other INSANITY Asylum Reviews. But for today, it’s all about the thing we sometimes neglect. We shouldn’t. But we do. Let’s be honest! So many people skip the stretching. Whether it’s your relief day, or it’s a warm-up or cool-down. I was once one of those who avoided the relief and stretches at all costs. Just a waste of time was my mindset. Or, “eh, it’s just relief, yoga, stretching, I can skip today”. BOY was I wrong. Why? Because it focuses on foundation. Especially Yoga. When it comes down to the core, we often think about abs...

INSANITY the Asylum Back to Core Review...

I still remember my first day that I put the DVD in for Back to Core. I thought to myself: “Oh boy, here we go, my abs are about to HURT!” I was wrong. But, what are we really working out here then? Well, in my INSANITY the Asylum Back to Core Review, I’ll let you know! As you will quickly find out if you plan to do, or are doing, the Asylum, it’s about body control. Another thing you’ll learn is that the back is your foundation for strength. I did so many strange moves in the Back to Core workout that I never saw before. But what was AMAZING is that my back felt 1000x greater...

INSANITY Asylum Strength Review

Yo everyone! My INSANITY Asylum Strength Review comes with many smiles! If you’ve ever done INSANITY before, you’ll quickly realize that there is no weight lifting. Well, in the Asylum, that concept is crushed with the STRENGTH Workout. I really love this workout, it’s the best of P90X Shoulders & Arms and INSANITY Cardio series. As Shaun T. mentions at the beginning of this workout, “a good athlete knows the importance of cross-training.” Today is the cross-training day, folks! Before you start INSANITY Asylum Strength workout, you need a few tools. These tools include: Dummbells or Resistance Bands (the cool thing about INSANITY Asylum is you can choose which workout to do from the menu screen. Either do...

INSANITY Asylum Day 15 – Fit Test...

Today is Day 15, which means it’s time for another Fit Test. With INSANITY the Asylum, the Fit Test is better known as the Athletic Performance Assessment (throughout this post I’ll refer to it as simply “Fit Test”). I must admit that I’m seeing some good results (before/after pics below), but have a lot of work to do yet. I’m only halfway through the program, so there is more excitement to come! But first and foremost, I must admit that I AM NOT HAPPY! There were a few crucial steps that I didn’t take with the first fifteen days of Asylum. The result? Not the progress I was aiming for in my Fit Test & progress photos. Read...
