Today’s Challenge: Turbo Fire HIIT 15 Review

Turbo Fire HIIT 15This week is my FINAL week of my P90X2 journey! I’m sad it’s almost gone. Today was supposed to be P90X2 Recovery & Mobility; however, my wife put on a CHALLENGE for me! For those of you who don’t know, she is currently experiencing Turbo Fire. This program was created by celebrity Chalene Johnson, who created the famous Turbo Kick fitness programs and other programs such as TurboJam.

My Wife consistently reminded me how intense her Turbo Fire program was, but I would always combat with “Oh, but P90X and P90X2 HAS to be harder!! :-)” So, today she put on the challenge. What was the challenge? Turbo Fire HIIT 15. She explained that it’s only 15 minutes, but said that she believes it will get me sweating like I never knew before. The skeptic in me thought: “Ok, let’s just see about that”, and the competition in me said: “BRING IT ON!!!!” Read on to find out if Turbo Fire HIIT 15 was easy or if it kicked my butt!!

Turbo Fire HIIT 15 – Can you Really get results with only 15 minutes?

I thought to myself, how hard can this be? It’s only 15 minutes, and I bet it’s easy, especially considering my experience with P90X and P90X2. Was it easy?……..NOPE!! I was sweating within 5 minutes of the workout, and by the end I felt like I just got a quality hour workout condensed into only 15 minutes. Now that’s a win!

What does HIIT stand for? That’s a good question – it stands for High Intensity Interval Training, and the core foundation to what seems to lead to a lot of results for people who do Turbo Fire. I could definitely feel what my wife was talking about, as there are incredible results that you can definitely get in only 15 minutes of High Intensity Interval Training!! Afterwards, lets just say I felt like I did a full hour of P90X2. But even better: it was fun, energetic, and entertaining!!ร‚ย Chalene is full of energy, and the music that goes along with the moves keeps you grooving ๐Ÿ™‚

Turbo Fire HIIT 15 – How does it work?

Turbo Fire HIIT 15Turbo Fire HIIT 15 uses the concept of the after burn affect, just like all of the other Turbo Fire workouts. Within HIIT 15, you get a few moments to test out the moves that are part of three separate series of FIRE DRILLS. These are intense 30 second moves where you are doing moves (that usually match up to the music on the DVD) and get incredible results at the same time!

The fire drills are crazy though, I must admit!! As soon as I started with the program, I noticed that when the bell rings, it’s time to get serious!! If you see the image to the left, you’ll see what I mean. You go intense with a HIIT workout, and it beats out both the TIME and the Calories burned than some traditional cardio workout. Saving Time and Money and still getting killer results? I’m listening!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Chalene mentions giving 110%, and I really feel that if you are someone who LOVES music, you will naturally want to give 110% in the Turbo Fire workouts. Jamming to the beats of good music really helps it seem more like a fun atmosphere than a dreaded workout!

So….Yes….I stood up to the challenge and overcome my challenge ๐Ÿ™‚ But on the same note, I’ve developed a WHOLE NEW respect for my wife Cristen when she does her Turbo Fire workouts!! She is going to rock this thing!!
