What to do After INSANITY

what to do after insanityIf you have crossed the finish line with the INSANITY workout program, and are now wondering what to do after INSANITY, my hat goes off to you! You have taken the time to focus, stay committed, and complete a very intense program.

If you are someone who is in the middle of INSANITY or just looking to continue your fitness, I’ll share the goals and tips here!

What to do After INSANITY Tips to Target Your Next Move

There are a few questions you need to ask yourself when planning on what to do after INSANITY. What exactly are you looking for to further your fitness results? Here are a few good questions to consider:

  • Do I want to further increase my athletic performance? And/or Cardiovascular Strength?
  • Do I want to define or build muscle?
  • Do I want to become more flexible?
  • Do I want to maintain my current success and never return to my old, “fatter” self?

These are seriously some good starting points to consider. It’s one thing to jump from one program to the next, but if you want one thing (say muscle building) and you go towards a program that isn’t as helpful (like a cardio fat-burning program), you are going to get frustrated fast. Check out the following tips on a few options to consider based on your goal.

What to do After INSANITY if you want to Increase Athletic Performance and Cardiovascular Strength

A lot of people move on from their graduated INSANITY program to an even more INSANE option. If you haven’t heard about it yet, INSANITY has a sequel, and it’s called: INSANITY the ASYLUM. There are currently two volumes out for purchase, and it literally will push you to new limits. If you thought INSANITY pushed you past your limits, Asylum will be the Tough Mudder of the INSANITY workout series. Check out this great video that explains the details on INSANITY the Asylum, and how it can help you with the goal of increased Athletic Performance and improved cardiovascular strength.

What to do After INSANITY if you want to BUILD or Define Muscle!

This is targeted for both GUYS and GALS looking for what to do after INSANITY. The question that defines your goal is, how MUCH muscle are you looking to build? See, the beautiful thing that I have found with INSANITY is that you really get a great cardio burn, which melts body fat. After INSANITY, combining or doing a workout that builds muscle can lead you towards that slim and/or ripped appearance depending on which one you are after.

==>IF you are after SOME Muscle

I really recommend going with the popular P90X workout program. In my post P90X vs INSANITY I explain some of the details behind how these programs differ. One is that P90X focuses more on resistance training whereas INSANITY focuses more on cardiovascular performance. Doing P90X after INSANITY, or doing the P90X INSANITY Hybrid, you will EXPLODE your results to new heights.

For my ladies out there, P90X is recommended here if you don’t want to have REALLY bulky muscles. The second option below can give you the bulkier look if that is what you are after. But if you just want toned muscles that look slim and sexy, do P90X with weights that you can do 12-16 reps per move (which you’ll learn all about once you get the program and with my FREE coaching I offer when you buy from SharpeFIT.com). As for the dudes, get weights that have a heavier load where you can do 8-10 reps per move. If this makes no sense, don’t worry, I’ll explain it more once you get P90X so we can determine what type of muscle you are after.

==>IF you are after A LOT of Muscle

OK – for those who want some BADASS muscles, there is a newer program that is getting rave reviews! It’s called BODY BEAST, and it will rock your world. My customers who have taken on the Beast have gotten mind-blowing results.

With a great link of Body Beast Supplements, you can bulk your way to looking like a complete body builder in just 90 days. Sagi Kalev, otherwise known as “Mr. Israel” for his awesome bodybuilding championships, designed and created this program. Check out the video here:

What to do After INSANITY if you want to improve Flexibility

If you are like me, flexibility is a beast to conquer. I feel as though I’m stretching the tin man when I’m warming up!! So, there are a few programs you can look at when deciding to improve your flexibility:

  • P90X – With the X Stretch and Yoga X workouts integrated into a full body fitness program, your flexibility will improve incredibly!
  • P90X2 – Same as P90X, only focuses on athletic performance with balance. If you want to improve flexibility AND balance, this is the program for you!!
  • Tai Cheng – I have a few dudes on my SharpeFIT team who have reported that their golfing games improved (as the commercials claim) by around 10 percent on average! This is due to the focused flexibility and balance improvements you can achieve.

What to do After INSANITY to Maintain Optimal Health

There are a few programs that I suggest for those who are coming off of INSANITY wanting to maintain optimal health. If you aren’t interested in building muscle or increasing athletic performance, this is for you! Now, I will confidently say that P90X and Asylum will help, but they are on the upper edge of the maintenance goal, mainly because it is stronger than a program that will simply maintain for you.

  • TurboFire – a little less intense than INSANITY, but a great edge with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Chalean Johnson, trainer for TurboFire, is motivating and very inspirational as well, which will keep you excited to maintain your awesome INSANITY results that you worked hard for over the last 60 days!
  • Les Mills Combat – I recommend this one because after INSANITY it is a beautiful compliment in my opinion. Using combat training with amazing music and energetic trainers, you will never look at a workout program like this the same again. If you have heard about Les Mills Pump classes, this is a product of those trainers who created the product for Beachbody, the Body Pump courses, and now this awesome program. You won’t be disappointed in this one.

Still in the Dark on What to do After INSANITY?

It’s OK if you are still in the dark or not feeling that the programs above are cutting it for you. Comment below right now and let me know what you’re thinking and we can work together to either find a good program for you, or work in a good Hybrid schedule that I can help customize for you with INSANITY and another program.

Together we will live a HEALTHY, FULFILLING LIFE!
