INSANITY The Asylum Strength Day 2

Far away, near the place where Mickey Mouse reigns supreme over 47 square miles of Orlando, lives a dude that is crazy enough to do INSANITY: The Asylum during the Holiday Season. While most people wait until the New Year, enjoying cookies and hot chocolate, this insanely tall dude decides to jump into a fitness program. What a Douche…

Did I catch your attention with that one? LOL. Welcome to my second day of INSANITY the Asylum journey. Today I focused on STRENGTH. If you’ve done INSANITY before, you can probably agree that there wasn’t much weightlifting throughout the entire program. The Asylum is completely different. With the original INSANITY program, I felt like there was a heavy focus on cardio-based workouts (let’s face it…it’s cardio city!). This program gives you the ability to finally use dumbbells, or resistance bands, with an INSANITY twist!

As you will see in the video below, the warm-up starts out with weights. Yes, the WARM-UP! That caught me by surprise as I was expecting some cardio along with a stretch. Nope, not with the Asylum! You are doing a cardio-weight move right from the very start.

INSANITY the Asylum Strength Day 2 Thoughts and Considerations

The most important piece to the entire day is diet. I hear it so many times. Diet, Diet, Diet. It gets QUITE annoying. If you want abs, you have to diet. If you want to look lean, you have to diet. If you want to be a millionaire, you have to diet. Really? Fine.

But I’m still up against the many temptations of Holiday Cookies and Hot Chocolate! Especially the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha coffees. Mmmmm. You know what I’m talking about, right? Give me one of those and I’m instantly put in the Christmas mood.

But regardless, if I really focus on at least some sort of diet, I plan on aiming towards that goal of ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS SOME SIX PACK ABS!

I plan on writing a blog post similar to my INSANITY The Asylum journey that talks a bit about my diet and how I’ve been doing. It will also share some tips and tricks I’ve learned to lose 70 pounds like I did and still enjoy some of the lifes pleasures without going overboard. Stay tuned for that soon! Make sure you subscribe to my blog (go to the bottom left) so you can be alerted as I update!

Until then, what is your favorite Holiday dessert? Comment below and let me know!

Yours,

Bob Sharpe
