Does P90X Work – The Million Dollar Question

If you are here trying to figure out Does P90X Work the simple and easy answer is – YES! But the longer, more serious answer is, it honestly depends. There are a LOT of factors that you need to realize with P90X.

While there is a lot of hype and shenanigans out there regarding the program, do not worry, you CAN do this. The trick is making sure you know HOW to do it, and then stay consistent with it for the full 90 days. After all, once you understand the how, the what comes pretty easy.

The Secret Sauce to the Question, Does P90X Work? How to make it work for you:

  • You follow the P90X Schedule of choice day by day. Do not pick and choose your workouts. Get serious about following the schedule, and plan your time so you don’t miss the workout each day.
  • You “BRING IT”. At the beginning of each P90X Workout, two important red letters appear on your screen: “BRING IT”. This isn’t just some snappy slogan. This means give it your absolute all. If you push hard and don’t lazily do the program, challenge yourself daily, and follow along with Tony, you WILL see results.
  • You Follow the P90X Nutrition Guide. This is very important. You can’t drive a BMW car with garbage fuel. You need to fuel your hot car with good fuel – some thing with your hot (or future hot) body. Fuel it right and it will look the way you want it to. Open up the Nutrition Guide, follow along with it, and don’t give up or cheat!

You might be saying: Coach Bob, really? If I follow these three “Secret Sauce” steps to answer Does P90X Work, I’ll be good to go? My honest answer to you is, absolutely! But where 98% of the people FAIL and quit/stop/stall on P90X is because they get out of sync with the program.

Do NOT let yourself get into the same rut. The next section will give you tips on how to avoid getting out of sync.


Why 98% of People STOP and Fail P90X – Does P90X Work

Whether you are trying to lose weight or you just want to get more fit, P90X can help you. It is a program designed for anyone and everyone, if they don’t fail at it first! The main reason you may be asking “does p90x work” is because you are worried about failing or not getting results with the program. I totally understand.

First, I want to provide some reassurance. Then, I’ll share with you the reasons people STOP and Fail P90X and how you can avoid them by knowing about them now.

My reassurance is my before and after photo with P90X. I lost a total of 70 pounds with the program. No, I did not get completely ripped. No, I did not get those insane results that make me look like a body builder. But it got me what I was initially after!

I wanted to lose weight and get back to a life of feeling better. I also never worked out a day in my life, ever. Because of this fact, I really struggled with P90X initially. I did not follow the nutrition plan, and stopped too early in between the moves of P90X (the key is pushing past the barrier when you start to feel tired – that is where you change and develop muscles faster!).

 A few things I initially did, and how you can avoid Failure with P90X and MAKE P90X Work for YOU!

  • Did NOT Follow the Nutrition Guide – I ate healthy, just not healthy enough to get awesome results. The nutrition guide breaks down how many proteins, carbs, and fats you need each day. If you don’t follow this, you may not get the results you want (your results may be worst than mine if you have no plan at all!!)
  • Get Mad When You Don’t See Results – In the first couple of weeks I didn’t see the scale budget. I didn’t get anything accomplished. I was mad! I suggest if this sounds like you, to check out our Focus T25 Week 2 Update. I know it’s not about P90X, but it applies to ALL workouts.
